As Summer Draws to a Close

Summer draws to a close

Full-size leaves in the pool’s skimmer basket are a sure sign that summer’s drawing to a close. There were a lot of them after this week’s storms.

Whether you’re dragging yourself across the back-to-school finish line or building up steam to conquer fall, join us for an evening of camaraderie and friendship with a cookout by the pool or a campfire overlooking the reservoir, weather depending.

CT Dads extends an earnest and heartfelt invitation to all the dads who’ve joined or been personally invited to one of our past dinners to join our summer celebration on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 6pm at my home in Wolcott, Connecticut.

If you haven’t yet RSVP-ed (to get my address and for food count) or would like to get in touch about future CT Dads’ Dinners, please text or e-mail chris@ctdads.com.

(It’s true you can text email addresses)

There will be no September meeting as several of us will be attending HomeDadCon in Milwaukee including co-founder Mark Longbrake who will be sharing his expertise with attendees by hosting a guided discussion on Household Finance including common points of conflict surrounding money.

If you’re feeling overwhelmed this summer, The National At-Home Dad Network offers online weekly mental health support meetings on Sundays at 9 PM and Tuesdays at noon.

How to Stay Connected

Send me an email at chris@ctdads.com telling me what phone number or Messenger account you want to be contacted on, then I’ll reach out and introduce myself.

Now that we’ve got each others’ numbers, you can text me anytime day or night (I shut off notifications as needed, but will respond) if you want to chat.

And I’ll reach out to you twice a month with a personal message. I will never add you to a group text without your permission.

The first text will let you know the next meeting’s date and the second will let you know which restaurant we’re going to and ask if you’re able to attend.

Why not just decide earlier and only send one text? Because checking in on each other is sort of the whole point.

Well why not just send an email? Because stay-at-home dads only use email for taxes and password resets.

And if we ever forget to text you, or texting isn’t your thing, check back here at www.ctdads.com where they’ll both be posted whenever the decisions are made.
